JOB DESCRIPTION FOR CHINESE PASTOR

The Chinese Pastor shall work with the other Pastor as a team to fulfill the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ to achieve the objectives set forth in the church constitution.

Scope

The Chinese Pastor is to nurture and shepherd the Chinese speaking congregation. If and when necessary, he will assist in the various ministries with the English speaking congregation, leading to the completion of the total vision and objective of the church.

The Chinese Pastor’s preaching and teaching duties include:

· Preaching on pulpit on Sunday worship service

· Preparing Sunday worship details

· Teaching Sunday school whenever needed

· Conducting Bible studies and help lead small groups

The Chinese Pastor’s other duties include:

· Visitation of members and visitors

· Counseling members of the congregation

· Participate in elders, deacons and trustees meetings

· Membership training and discipling

· Baptismal Service

· The Lord’s Supper

· Prayer ministry

· Local Evangelism

Pastoral Team

The Chinese Pastor is part of the Pastoral Team. The Pastoral Team shall work with and be accountable to the Board of Elders (BOE)

Office Hours:

The Chinese Pastor shall keep regular office hours at the church office and shall coordinate with the English Pastor.

Review:

Review as stipulated by the By-Laws of St. Louis Chinese Gospel Church, the Chinese Pastor will be subject to an annual review by BOE.
