Chinese Pastor Qualifications and Criteria

Education: Graduated from an accredited seminary in North America or abroad; may consider exceptions based on individual cases

Experience: Past pastoral experience desired; may consider candidates with strong experience in church ministry

Languages: Must be fluent in Mandarin, able to communicate in English, understand or able to communicate Cantonese is a plus

Ethnicity: No Preference

Ordination: Preferred

Marital Status: Married preferred

Doctrine: In agreement with our church's Article of Faith and doctrinal beliefs

Preaching/Teaching: Ability to preach and teach effectively

Leadership: Ability to provide spiritual and organizational leadership

Ability to work well as a member of the Pastoral Team

Ability to work well with various groups

Experience in working with Chinese Americans helpful

Salary: Depending on experience
